Public Services are a pivotal component of any community, and the robust community on Orcas Island is no exception. This system of essential services that supports the people of Orcas is a lifeline for all islanders and visitors on the island. Public services differ from services offered in the private sector, as their primary function is to support their community and it’s members, not to generate a profit. There are many services and non-profits on Orcas Island that strive to help islanders get the resources they need, and help others.
